Today myself along with Northants Fire Service have completed parking patrols around the Oakley Vale using a fire engine to ensure accessibility in case of emergency. I am pleased to report that we was able to safely traverse all roads that we checked around Oakley Vale. This was done due to concerns raised by the community surrounding this issue and we will look to do this again in due course.

This is a healthy reminder of being mindful where you park to ensure emergency vehicles are able to access your/your neighbours address in case of an emergency. A few simple steps can help the emergency services find you in case of an emergency; ensure your address has a clearly visible door number, know your postcode and house number should you need to call us and should you be in a remote area know your what3words location.
