Dear Residents,
The neighbourhood policing team have noticed a rise in vehicle crime over the last few weeks and are urging residents to follow these crime prevention tips.
There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your vehicle: Taking electrical items with you and not leaving any clues - DO NOT leave sat nav mounts, suction cup marks on windows or cables on view Secure your number plates with tamper-resistant screws Tool thefts from vans - ensure you mark any tools, take photographs of items of value, make a note of the serial numbers and consider registering them online at a property register site Further security tips and crime prevention advice can be found on the Northamptonshire Police website and on the Neighbourhood Watch website. If you have any footage of anyone attempting to gain access to your vehicle or know that your vehicle has been broken into, please contact 101 or 999 if the suspect is still present.
