A vast majority of people in the community refrain from carrying knives or get involved in knife crime.

Northamptonshire Police are committed to working with partner agencies and members of the public to prevent and tackle those that do. We want to help you make your community as safe as possible and for you to feel as safe as possible.

Please do get in touch, anonymously if you’d prefer, if you answer yes to any of the following questions.

Do you know someone who regularly carries a knife or weapon?

Does this frighten you or make you worried about the safety of you and your friends and family?

Have you got a knife or knives you want to get rid of?

Did you know you can surrender them to the police?

If you’d like to do this, please email your local team at the email address.

We will also be available to receive any knives that people want to hand in.

If you do have a knife to surrender, please make the knife safe by putting paper/cardboard over the blade so that it shows intention of genuine wanting to hand it in.

The Amnesty Bin will be in an area near you.

Kind regards
